1. About Age of Instinct

Age of Instinct is operated by D P Jamieson as a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Our services include the Age of Instinct tabletop roleplaying game, the Age of Instinct website, AoI Tabletop Online, ADAPTable functionality, and related services.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless that activity results from circumstances for which Age of Instinct is legally responsible. You must not deliberately access another person's account without permission or attempt to circumvent the security of our services.

3. Player Accounts

Players play free. Always.

Players may access the Player functionality provided by AoI Tabletop Online without purchasing a Player subscription. We reserve the right to develop and improve the features of the service over time, but we do not intend to introduce a charge for ordinary Player access under the current Age of Instinct model.

4. GM Subscriptions

Game Masters require an active GM subscription to access GM functionality, except where complimentary or administrative access has been specifically granted by Age of Instinct. Our current annual GM subscription options are:

• Community GM — £9.99 per year
• Standard GM — £19.99 per year
• Supporter GM — £29.99 per year

These tiers provide the same core GM functionality. The higher-priced tiers exist so customers who wish to contribute more towards the project and its charitable commitment can voluntarily choose to do so. Choosing a lower-priced tier does not result in an intentionally reduced version of the GM service. Current prices and applicable currencies will always be displayed before purchase.

5. Charitable Commitment

Age of Instinct intends to donate 15% of its profits to Futurestars, supporting its charitable work in Ghana. The donation is made by Age of Instinct rather than directly by customers through the platform. The amount donated therefore depends upon the profits generated by the business and is not necessarily equal to 15% of an individual customer's payment.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription prices, billing periods and any renewal arrangements will be clearly displayed before purchase. Where recurring or automatic renewal is offered, customers will be informed before entering the subscription.

Customers must be given a reasonable way to manage or cancel applicable subscriptions. Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers and may also be subject to their applicable terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You may use AoI Tabletop Online for lawful personal tabletop gaming and other purposes permitted by the functionality provided. You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or another user's account
• Circumvent payment, authentication or security systems
• Deliberately damage, overload or interfere with the service
• Introduce malicious software
• Use the service for unlawful purposes
• Copy, redistribute or commercially exploit Age of Instinct proprietary content except where expressly permitted
• Falsely represent yourself as being affiliated with or authorised by Age of Instinct

We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in serious or repeated misuse.

8. ADAPTable and User Content

AoI Tabletop Online may allow Game Masters to customise tabletop environments and use their own maps, artwork, tokens, campaign materials or other content. You retain ownership of content that belongs to you.

By uploading content, you grant Age of Instinct the limited permission necessary to store, process and display that content for the purpose of providing the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights or permission to use content you upload. Uploading content does not transfer ownership of that content to Age of Instinct.

9. Age of Instinct Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, Age of Instinct materials — including the world of Aurelia, game rules and presentation, artwork owned by Age of Instinct, written materials, branding, logos, software interfaces and other original materials — are owned by or licensed to Age of Instinct.

Your subscription provides access to the service. It does not transfer ownership of Age of Instinct intellectual property to you. You may use the service and game materials for ordinary personal gameplay subject to these Terms. Commercial reproduction, resale or redistribution requires prior permission unless otherwise permitted by law.

10. Service Availability

We aim to keep AoI Tabletop Online available and functioning reliably. However, online services sometimes require maintenance, updates or experience technical problems. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability at all times. Where practical, we will aim to minimise disruption and resolve significant technical issues.

11. Updates and Changes

Age of Instinct is an evolving game and software platform. We may add, remove, modify or improve features, rules, interfaces and content. Where a change would materially affect a paid service, we will aim to provide appropriate information and treat customers fairly.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:

• Serious or repeated breaches of these Terms
• Fraudulent activity
• Attempts to compromise the service or other accounts
• Illegal use
• Non-payment of a paid subscription

Where appropriate, we will provide reasonable notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue. Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you may have.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful. Age of Instinct does not exclude responsibility for matters that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

Subject to those rights, Age of Instinct is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made or for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control. If you are using our consumer services, these Terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

14. Third-Party Services

Our website and application may integrate with or link to services operated by third parties. Those services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. Age of Instinct is not responsible for the independent operation of third-party websites or services except to the extent required by applicable law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales, without depriving consumers elsewhere in the United Kingdom of any mandatory protections provided by the laws applicable to them. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights regarding where legal proceedings may be brought.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary because of changes to our services, business or applicable law. The current version will be published on our website. Material changes affecting existing paid customers will be communicated where reasonably required.
