Playing the game
- Do players have to pay anything?
- No. Players play free, always — there is no player subscription, no per-seat charge and no trial limit. Only the Games Master needs a subscription to AoI Tabletop Online.
- I've never played a tabletop RPG before. Is this suitable?
- Yes. Age of Instinct was designed to be accessible to complete newcomers while still offering depth for experienced players. There is no complicated magic system, and AoI Tabletop Online handles most of the admin so you can concentrate on playing.
- What do I need to run a game?
- A GM subscription, an internet connection and a group. Everything else — maps, tokens, dice, initiative and the character sheets — lives inside AoI Tabletop Online. Your players just need a browser and the invitation.
- How many players can play?
- A typical table is up to around 10 players including hosted corporate sessions, though most groups play with four to six.
- What is a Companion and a Bond?
- Every character forms an extraordinary Bond with an animal Companion. The Bond deepens through play and is the route to becoming a rare Human/Animal Hybrid. Read more about the game.

GM subscriptions & payments
- What's the difference between the three GM tiers?
- Nothing but the price. Community, Standard and Supporter grant exactly the same full GM access — the tier you pick is simply how much you'd like to support the project. Nothing is locked behind a higher price.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes — every new GM subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. You choose a tier and enter payment details, but nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel at any point during it from your account.
- How does billing work?
- GM subscriptions are billed annually in GBP through Stripe. Your access continues to the end of the paid period if you cancel, and renewal happens automatically unless you cancel first.
- Can I change tier or cancel?
- Yes, at any time. Use “Manage billing” on your account page to change tier, update your card or cancel.
- Can I buy a subscription as a gift?
- Yes. Use the Pay Any Amount page and choose “Gift a GM subscription”. The recipient gets a single-use code they activate on the redeem page.
- What's your refund policy?

- Can you run a session for us?
- Yes. We run professionally hosted sessions for teams, groups and parties, online or in person, for up to 10 players — no previous RPG experience required. See hosted experiences.
- What does a corporate session cost?
- Pricing depends on group size, format and whether the session is online or in person. Get in touch and we'll talk through the logistics.
- Can you create bespoke content for our group?
- Yes — bespoke campaigns, adventures, characters, maps and personalised tokens, tailored to the age, tone and experience of your group.

Accounts & support
- How do I create an account?
- Accounts are created as part of GM checkout, or via sign in. Players do not need an account on this website to join a game.
- Does the same account work in AoI Tabletop Online?
- Yes. Sign into the tabletop with the same account and your GM access is recognised automatically once payment is confirmed.
